Lost in Naivety

Purpose - the fact behind our existence which encompasses our every action, every move, every thought which happens at a cellular level. The food we eat, the clothes we wear, the work we do, the people we meet, the decisions we make/break, the air we breathe all happens because of a purpose, within a boundary, within a system. A system that has given us unlimited possibilities, free thinking but again confined to the realms of probability ( but lets keep that for another day)

I thought lemme see if there is any purpose in hmmmmmmmm lets say Entertainment. The word Useful Entertainment sounds more like an oxymoron to me. I mean entertainment cannot be useful. It just cant be! . Stuff that are useful are news, data, facts and ideas - words with purpose. Unfortunately the same words are so overated these days. Coming back to entertainment - Need something concrete to rant about. Movies??? uh not quite....hmmm serials?? damn no......reality shows??? ahh....ok (sad that other than these three I cant think of anything else)

Here are couple of reality shows that I loathe but watch it anyways (the fact that the number of stupid people around me is increasing exponentially makes me feel good :-)

Splitsvilla & ROADIES - What is the show even about? Why do I have to wrestle a crocodile? Ok I just wrestled one.....now what? What is the ffiing purpose of it all? - well besides the money and the TRP (read money again) NOTHING!! absolutely nothing - Ever notice a show like roadies will have not one but more than 3 outrageously stupid but hot chicks?? ...and i thought bollywood was bad... :).

Big Boss - Orgy fest for the mentally challenged

Indian Idol - With judges like Annu Malik and Sonali Bendre can it get any worse...oooh poor talent....Star singer in Asianet have better singers

All the singing & dancing shows - Filled with fights, arguments, tears, oooh profanityand yeah add in a little singing and dancing the shows complete. Wait dont we see more of that on headlines today???

Purpose - none of these defines any purpose and those without purpose (as in the Matrix) should be deleted.

Oh this post also serves no purpose :)....just brain fart :)

More Sacrifice!!!! - The Reckoning

Its been just two days since my last post and I've already got mixed reviews. Thanks all. :))

Wednesday - 9:00am and goood morning...(yes I that's early morning for me)

My best moments are when I am sitting on the throne. Unlike others I don't read a newspaper or a magazine when am doing my stuff. I mean COME ON!!!!!!!!...... how can u take a dump when reading about 26/11 attacks or the Mangalore attacks. (I would like to take a dump on those who did that tho :))....but anyways........hang on..................... ah false alarm :)

So here I am sitting and wondering what were these guys talking about esp my Lilliput friend who totally disagrees to whatever I wrote in my previous post (redundant...but moving on). Well the universal truth apparently (according to her).....is Dude u need to cut some slack somewhere sometime. Now my point is it happens all the freaking time......and we (men) end up bending over all the time.

Sacrifice!!!!

Ok this is my third attempt at blogging...guess that would explain how bad I am at this...but anyways...here goes nothing!!!

I just finished reading this book God's Debris by Scott Adams. Little did I know that the guy who is famous for his Dilbert comics would come up with something so obscure and irrational and at the same time thought provoking (if I may....). The book talks about lotsa things primarily probability theory of our existence (not getting technical here) but the one thing that interested me was women (but of course ;)).

Last week I was at my friends place for our usual Thanni-Dabur Plan and say at about 2 am we all got into this major argument as to what women expect and what exactly do they mean when they say stuff. (before you'll become judgemental I was just a mute spectator for most of the time :)) that is till I had to quote a line from God's Debris -

"Women believe that men are, in a sense, defective versions of women and Vice-Verse. Both genders are trapped in a delusion that their personal viewpoints are universal.".

Not that I totally agree to this but then thinking about it, it did make sense. That's when I stood up and said "Women believe value is created by SACRIFICE." If you are willing to sacrifice your favorite activities to be with her, she will trust you. (Seemingly redundant considering the fact that we all do this all the freaking time!!!!) but then here's another statement

"If being with her is too easy for you, she will not trust you" - now wait a minute do they actually like it when we give up on our desires and pleasures just for one freaking stupid party. (In my mind all I could picture was them standing over our carcass and going bwhahahahahahah...your mine bitch!!!!)......

My friend (Shake) sent this fwd - "If women go out to party with their girl friends, its "girls night out", If guys do the same we are called "Selfish heartless bastards".

Ever wonder why is that the rich and the famous get the most gorgeous gals.?? well Scott says its partly cos the rich and famous are capable of making larger sacrifice" hehehe - (I am so happy now....knowing that I am not alone - Misery loves company)

My gumbal, including me are all aging fast and by next year we all gonna be married (read Sacrificed!!!) :D and I wonder if we could ever have those moments of just guys outside Mani's house talking about anything but women. Guess thats one major Sacrifice we all have to do :(((
